Romeo Pilat, a mechanic, the second son of Antonio Pilat and Isolina Sartor, shared his father’s tragic fate. Arrested and initially detained in local prisons, he was then transferred to Tolmezzo on 11 May 1944, prior to his deportation on 25 September to the Kaufering labor camp, where he died on 22 May 1945, three months after his father’s murder.
