Lodovico Zonta was born on 30 January 1903 in Parenzo (Pola) and lived in Ronchi dei Legionari at Via Redipuglia 216.
He was arrested together with his son Gino Zonta following a denunciation during the roundup of 24 May 1944 in Ronchi dei Legionari and taken to the Coroneo prison in Trieste. After a violent interrogation, he was put on the train to Germany on transport no. 48, which departed from Trieste on 31 May 1944 and arrived in Dachau on 2 June 1944, where he was registered under number 69743 as a political deportee (red triangle). On 21 July 1944 he was transferred to Flossenbürg, registered under number 13416, and then to the Hersbruck subcamp, where he was killed on 4 November 1944.
Lodovico was a partisan of the Garibaldi Natisone Division, Garibaldi Trieste Battalion.
