Gino Zonta was born on 8 March 1929 in Vermegliano (a hamlet of Ronchi dei Legionari), the son of Lodovico Zonta, and lived at Via Redipuglia 216.
He was arrested together with his father following a denunciation during the roundup of 24 May 1944 and taken to the Coroneo prison in Trieste. After interrogation, he was put on transport no. 48, which departed from Trieste on 31 May 1944 and arrived in Dachau on 2 June 1944, where he was registered under number 69742 as a political deportee (red triangle). On 20 July 1944 he was transferred to Natzweiler and registered under number 23607; he returned to Dachau on 4 October 1944 and was killed on 12 May 1945 in Allach (a subcamp of Dachau).
