Virginio Angelo Edoardo Micheluz was born on 2 August 1905, in Pordenone, the town where he spent most of his life. He owned a tobacco shop inherited from his father, located at no. 44 Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
He married Anna Elsa Maranese, with whom he had three children: Giampietro Francesco, Pietro Francesco, and Gabriele Giovanni Maria. Micheluz was falsely accused of collaborating with the partisans and was arrested on 23 November 1944, at 5:00 p.m. by the 4th Fascist Battalion, after which he was handed over to the German Command.
He was transferred to Udine and subsequently deported to the Flossenbürg concentration camp, where he arrived on 21 December 1944, and was imprisoned under prisoner number 40242. On 4 January 1945, he was transferred to Hersbruck (a subcamp of Flossenbürg) and then to Dachau, where he died in the American hospital.
He was buried in Munich at the Italian Military Cemetery of Honor.
