Argo Tambarin was born in Ronchi dei Legionari on 15 May 1925, son of Antonio Tambarin and Anna Maria Zorzenon, and lived in Vermegliano at 115 Viale Garibaldi.
A student, in September 1943 he joined the Proletarian Brigade and took part in the Battle of Gorizia; after the unit was disbanded, he helped form the Triestine Battalion in Opacchiasella, which was tasked with maintaining contacts with antifascist organizations in the Monfalcone area and Lower Friuli. Captured during the night of 18 December 1943 in Doberdò, he was deported to Germany on transport no. 23 and arrived in Mauthausen on 30 January 1944, registered under prisoner number 50909. He was transferred to the Gusen subcamp and later to the Sanitätslager, and died on 9 September 1944 at Erholungsheim-Hartheim (Mauthausen).
